The great indoors.

Life has been absolutely peachy.

I have been doing quite a lot of productive things at home this past week. Like cleaning up my actual room (I'm back at mom's) for instance. After weeks of inoccupancy, my bed has been a foster home for all sorts of dust bunnies and kitties. Talking about foster homes, I really need to do something for Aunt's Sophia and Rita; both of whom had kindly offered me a space in their homes for when I was at school the past 2 terms. How nice, I know. Maybe I should tutor their children for free or something. And from the looks of it, Shasha does need help in her science. Anyway.

Another reason why I'm happy is that now that there's no mom around to feel guilty about messing up the kitchen anymore, I can cook with ease. Hallelujah. It's great that mom's left me with extra money to get food for myself; although the nearest supermarket's quite far away (Cold Storage down at Stadium Walk) I do make it a point to stock up on supplies at least once a week (I can't wait for the completion of the Stadium and Mountbatten MRT stations, just hurry up construction will ya'). As everyone knows, me cook, me happy.

I have also been quite of a couch and computer seat hog these past couple of days (scoffs out loud). Now, I can't wait for the new episodes of Skins to be out (praise that guy who uploads all of their episodes on YouTube). It's also quite a bit of a long shot, but I do want to get started on re-downloading all of the movies and shows I've lost when my Vaio suddenly died. It'll take years, but I can't live with the fact that I do not have Trainspotting, Goodbye Charlie Bright, Kill Bill's Vol. 1 & 2, and all of the Foster's episodes on my laptop anymore. Curse that one brief moment of impatience, argh.

I also need to get out more often. Sighs. The last time I had so much fun outdoors was with Putri and Sam last Saturday (losers), and yeah, that ridiculous outing with Ama and Hanisah on Monday. Maxxie boy, I effing need to see your face.

Haha, and before I forget, today, Lirong turns eighteen. If you're reading, I wish you all the best for the future and may you have a cliched birthday card greeting of a fulfilling life ahead of you. Cheers friend.

p.s. Rafa and Mika's birthdays are coming up. I haven't gotten them any prezzies yet, but I'll do give them something when they come by here in September. Well, that's till then, then..

Anecdotal.

I have been laying low at home for the past five days, all alone with nothing but a movie marathon and some night fun to look forward to this coming weekend. Fehh, here are a few things that I want to blog about, but don't have the diligence to do so in a proper manner. So a list is suffice.

1. My Vaio crashed so I lost all my precious indie movies, Avatar episodes, as well as 3 whole season's
worth of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.

2. Peanuts can be well worth their weight in gold (inside joke).

3. Rafa's new girlfriend is smoking hot.

4. Putri's boyfriend is psychotic (XD).

5. I need to pay my phone and internet bills, ASAP.

6. I found a decomposed tofu bit underneath the kitchen island that grew brilliantly coloured fungi.

7. Happy 18th birthday Maxxie boi (19/2), lay off them ciggs, alright?

9. There's this new advertisement promoting a new show on Channel 5 that is making me nervous to
watch Survivor every Friday night.

10. Oh yeah, yahoo, Survivor is starting.

11. I just realized that this list does not have a No. 8.

12. I still owe a lot of people money.

13. I hope Kate Winslet receives an Oscar this year, and I am torn between choosing which film deserves
the Best Picture, Frost/Nixon, The Reader, or yes, Slumdog Millionaire.

14. Of course, Ledger for Best Supporting Actor.

15. I need to get a lot of cash if ever I have to send my dead Vaio down for repairs.

16. I need to go shopping (in a totally un-gay way) with some people to get something for someone.

17. I wonder when will that oven timer ring, i'm starving.

18. Everyone, watch American Idol FTW.

This is what my life has become. A high flying executive's organizer. Well, at least I got no more school.

p.s. tell me if I need to add more steps.

Home.

So I arrived home from Dad's at around 9 in the morning today. It was great seeing the old man again (he's really quite young) and as usual I had a lot of catching up fun.

It was pretty hazy around parts of town today, and the humidity has risen to choking levels once more. The first thing I did when I got home was take out the chicken breast from the freezer. Watched the telly for a bit (Kyle XY was on) before dozing off for awhile. In the end, I didn't know what to cook, so I just grilled the chicken with some allspice and had them with pita bread and rocket greens. Thank you mom for secretly restocking the fridge.

At around 5 in the evening today, Denni called to ask for some 'study tips'. Now, I know that some of my friends out there are still cramming for their exams like nobody's business. Tough break, guys. (Just know, rote learning isn't very useful when you have a lot of subject matter, so unless you have the mind capacity of Mojo Jojo, don't cram/'mug') I really am thankful that I am done with school.

Take it easy, or you'll just end up like this poor madame.

Clear skies.

Well, it's about time. Everyone, bid adieu to Year 1. Though the journey we took was long and hard (I know what you're thinking of), to me, everything paid off. And now, let us revel in our freedom.

VACATION SWEET MOTHER OF GOD!!!

Okay, lame and unconvincingly altruistic intro aside, yesterday was quite a subdued blast. I woke up quite early (by this week's standard) and got my butt all the way down to school for what felt like the millionth time. So I wasn't aware of the Colour Studies deadline change, and I was in school too early (how illegal). Thank god I had Macy with me to keep me company. After handing in my CD to Subrina it was time for that Design History test. It wasn't that bad actually, and before I knew it, we were free.

Now I can think of a thousand and one metaphors to describe that feeling of relief I had just now but i'll just say this: I'm so relieved.

Today is gonna' be quite an eventful day. Aunt Rita is having a soiree at her place, and the kid's are going to fly their kites (it's some kite flying event of sorts). Then, in the evening I gotta' head to Dad's place; where i'd be staying for the next few days. I did bunk out at his apartment for awhile (after visiting gramp's one week after Lunar New Year) and, then, I was thinking how great it would be if I could stay there longer. But now, after all the projects and shiznit and whatsorts are done and over with, I finally can.

Heck, i'm so loving this. Putri and Sam, you keep me on that waiting list of yours. Chicken breast, I am so going to make great lasagna out of you this time, for sure. Hairdresser, reserve a tablecloth-thingy-with-a-hole-for-the-head thingy for when I need your services. Polyfriends, you owe me some movie time and a cycling-blading-skating adventure. And it's been awhile since i've seen the drama people. You guy's don't forget to remember me too.

Because now, Wantanabe is as free as a dove.

Cheers for the next 2 months you're away from neurotic me!

p.s. Survivor was great, but what did you expect, a full in depth analytical review of the first episode? Now why would I do that?

All in 7 days work.

Everybody sing this song, doo-dah, doo-dah.

Everybody sing this song, OH, doo-dah-day.

WHOO.

The holidays are around the corner and I am in a very uplifting mood (but don't just call me Pierrot yet). These few days have been nothing short of heck for all of us Visual Commers. I tell you, I bet i've lost more money investing in printing out multiple posters and cabfare than Microsoft investing in Seinfield for their lame adwork. And not to mention lack of sleep.

Today was rather brisk. After waking up to Lirong's call, I made a quick dash for shower, then to BenColor Printing Co. (it's a printing shop at Bencoolen St.) to print the last of the major assignments, Herman's movie poster. I didn't quite like the outcome (bored) but at least everything was done. And of course, with every trip to the printing shop comes the printing of another YOLO poster, but Wan's bank account, don't fret, because this is gonna' be the last of them all (I can now make a rather lousy non-insulative bedsheet out of the rest of the YOLO rejects).

After a brief period at school (compiling the stuff needed for Herman's submission, oggling at other posters) I went out with my poly gangfriends to the land of the woods for brunch. So it was my second time at Causeway Point (don't ask me why it's called that, the developers must've had their bearings wrong or something) and the food was quite good. Had a lot of good laughs with them, talking bout whatever under the sun. It was a much needed rest.

I ciaoed from Yishun Interchange on number 39 for the third time in my life. Wow, though it only takes fourty or so minutes to reach Aunt Sophia's place the time spent in one feels like hours; it's that bad when you feel oh so narcoleptic on a nauseating bus ride, ah.

Tomorrow is Friday, the official last day of school. Though school has been tiresome and money has been scarce (in part of my tardiness and lack of z's) I feel quite a nice sense of satisfaction, now that everything is coming to an end. Not to mention, the stress tightened our bonds as classmates (just look at the Faiz-KM couple) and brought out the best and worst in some of us.

Just one more day (Design History test tomorrow), then we can (takes cue from Dass the man) CHILLLLLLL BROOOS!

Canned tuna.

I need to update more frequently because my blogger's OCD is getting worse. I have a newfound interest in anything canned and tuna. I just wasted 200 bucks in one week, and it's not even Valentine's yet. And I love people who can comprehend my personality and way of writing because i'd hate another me, i'd bet.

On a much saner note, things are getting a bit better. Smooth sailing ahead.

p.s. I'll update with a proper entry soon. Eat your heart out, princess.

Time bomb.

The past few days went by in a whizz of printing shops, art friends (and enemies), and gay humor.

It is officially the week of reckoning. I think I remembered something like this happening about 5 months ago, the last week of Semester 1. How fast time flies, don't you agree? Now, the VCer's are at it again. But this time, it's on a much bigger scale. It's a whole new ball game for us. May the Gods bless us with magical patience powder, amen.

Now, i've been in a really subjective mood these past couple of days. Whatever feels right does and whatever seems nasty reeks. That sentence was not meant to be understood by anyone so don't tryta' guess (everything I say, really). As of now I notice that our circle of friends is getting bigger and better. I really am new to this kind of peer bonding, so it feels a bit overwhelming for me to really act part of such a group, if anyone gets what I mean. But I can't deny that it's fun.

Let's sidetrack a bit here. I really am sorry that i've broken so many promises, and have irked so many people the past few days. It's difficult for me to explain to different people why certain things happened the way they did, so I really feel at a lost for words whenever I try to redeem myself when faced with their scorn. But to those who understand, much respectful thanks.

I don't think I further need to elaborate on the current state of my school work as it is really quite obvious.

Okay, here's what's done:

Subrina's YOLO poster. We spent the whole Sunday evening printing our stuff at SunSHINE plaza (thanks) and today was the deadline. A great relief.

Now wait a minute, I think that's all that's completed (gasp!).

Okay, what else about school. I feel that the assignments this term have gotten much more interesting (think last Thursday's Botanical Garden's trip) but obviously they come with scary deadlines. Water and poster colour paintings are fun to do but I really hate cleaning up the mess they create. Thank god mum is not at home to see the 'masterpiece' i've done on her parquette.

I also feel atrociously lazy when it comes to revising theory stuff (what have I become), it's terrible. We have an Ergonomics test tomorrow and don't forget that final Design History exam next week. Well, let's take it week by week.

It's getting crazier by the minute.

Okay, I should stop typing now, lest I get carried away and write stuff thats too weird for other people's comprehension. Now to get started on that Egonomics revision.

Friends, all the best for the 'last week of hell'.
